How to Send an E-Mail Request:

Current Backlog Status - none.

Click here if you are in the U.S.
Click here if you are Ordering Outside the U.S.

It's easy:
Send us an e-mail listing the seeds and products you are requesting and your name and address to orders@JLHudsonSeeds.net, and then send a PayPal payment to the same address - it couldn't be simpler! Be sure your e-mail name matches the PayPal e-mail name so we can match up your request and your payment.

We can now accept payments through Zelle. If your bank has Zelle, you may send money to us at postmaster@JLHudsonSeeds.net

"Just wanted to thank you for the easiest seed ordering I've done online. For those of us with slow connections (like a fixed cell connection), your online stuff is great. And listing items in an email is much easier than all that cart business."—Judy Price, Alaska, February 2008.

If you are in the United States:
Step 1: Go to www.paypal.com and open an account (if you don't already have one) - only takes a few minutes. All you need is a credit card or a bank account. PayPal is free, safe, secure, and easy. We can now accept payments through Zelle. If your bank has Zelle, you may send money to us at postmaster@JLHudsonSeeds.net

Step 2: List the items you are requesting in an e-mail, add up the total (don't forget postage and packing), and send it to us at orders@JLHudsonSeeds.net.

PLEASE: Don't forget your name and mailing address, if you do not give your address in your e-mail, your request will be delayed while we contact you to verify your address.
We really do need your mailing address, and hate to delay your seeds while we contact you to verify your mailing address!

WE DO NOT SHIP ANY ORDER UNLESS YOUR FULL NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS APPEARS IN YOUR E-MAIL. WE DO NOT SHIP IF YOU ONLY GIVE YOUR ADDRESS IN YOUR PAYPAL PAYMENT! Why? Because of too many packages being returned for bad address!

If you want a paper copy of the catalog included with your seeds, just let us know. The paper catalog is a handy reference with the germinating instructions for all seeds. Hard to take your computer out to the garden!

Not sure if you have the correct total? No problem! If you overpay we will send a PayPal refund, or if you underpay we will let you know. (Note: Unless you are outside the United States and have trouble figuring postage costs, if you send us a big list of seeds and ask us to send you the total amount to pay, there will be a $5.00 service charge, and your request will be delayed.)

Include sales tax only if you live in California (7.25% for the state, 9.375% for San Mateo County residents only) - No tax on vegetable seeds.

Step 3: Then use your PayPal account to send the total due to orders@JLHudsonSeeds.net (the "pay to" recipient). If your payment does not go through, you probably mis-typed our e-mail address. Recheck the address - it will go through if correctly typed. Also, if you send your payment from a different e-mail address than the one you order from, it helps us a lot if you let us know that address in the request e-mail - that way we can match up your request and your payment easily. Thanks!

NOTE: We don't send PayPal invoices or requests for payment - you need to send us the payment.

Step 4: Remember - we don't send an acknowledgement that we have received your request unless we have a backlog - but you will be notified when we mail the seeds (usually within 2 - 4 days). If you really need an acknowledgement of our receipt of your request, just let us know - we are glad to oblige, but please realize we are not on-line all the time, so there may be a full day before you receive an acknowledgement.

For fastest service, please always send your e-mail request separately from your PayPal payment, and put your name and address in this e-mail. If you just note your request within the PayPal payment, sometimes it will not show up at our end!

YOUR REQUEST WILL BE DELAYED IF YOU DO NOT GIVE YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS IN THE E-MAIL LISTING THE SEEDS.

We really do want to get your seeds to you quickly, and don't want to have to delay your seeds while we contact you to verify your address! It really helps us to have your address.

For fastest service, please send your request like this:

About PayPal
PayPal is your safe, secure, easy way to make online payments, and this is the only way we have to process credit card payments. If you don't have a PayPal account, go to: www.paypal.com - it only takes a few minutes to set up an account, and it is absolutely free. PayPal has a secure site and is perfectly safe. You need a credit card or a bank account to open an account. If you have a credit card, you can set up an account and pay for your request right away. If you do not have a credit card, you can link to your bank account, but it takes about 3 days for PayPal to verify your account. Then you can order from most internet businesses as easily as if you had a credit card, but without having to give out your card number.

To request seeds, e-mail us your request and then click on the PayPal link www.paypal.com and log in to your account, and transfer the payment to us. Our account at PayPal is the same as our e-mail requesting address, so use this both for making payment at PayPal, and for sending us your request:

orders@JLHudsonSeeds.net

If you are outside the US:
Postage Outside the U.S.
NOTE: If you order online and pay by PayPal, we ran easily refund any postage overpayment, or we can pack up the seeds for you and quote you the total price to pay.
NOTE:
TRACKING NUMBERS: If you want a tracking number for your package, you have two options. For no charge you may be able to track your parcel with the Customs Declaration number - this depends on if your postal system supports this. You can also register the parcel - add US$17.00 for Registered Mail. If you do not choose to register the package, we are not responsible if the package is lost in the mails. NOTE: Registered Mail can be tracked through the USPS website until it leaves the US - after that it can only be done by our postal authorities, and you need to track it from your own country's postal system.
NOTE: It can take 6 - 8 weeks for delivery outside the U.S.

PayPal is very convenient for our customers outside the United States, as this will save you from the high fees for bank drafts in US$, and they have very reasonable exchange rates, too! About 190 countries are set up for various PayPal options: Some countries can only send, and not receive, so check PayPal for your local options.

Note: Please check with your Ministry of Agriculture regarding any prohibited seeds. Most countries allow the importation of small amounts of flower seeds without an Import Permit or Phytosanitary Certificate. For most seeds, quantities under 100 grams are exempt from permit or certificate requirements. Most small requests pass customs with no problems without a Phytosanitary Certificate. We are NOT able to provide phytosanitary certificates - the USDA has made the process to difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. We are not responsible for any seeds seized by customs.

Note: New Zealand has lightened up on its import restrictions, and individuals can now import small quantities of seed without phytosanitary certificate, provided they are on the list of approved species. Visit the New Zealand Plants Biosecurity Index to see if the species you want are permitted.

Note: Australia and South Africa have extremely restrictive agriculture laws - it is nearly impossible to import seed into South Africa, and Australia is not far behind. If you are in either of these countries be aware that your seeds may be seized by customs. We are not responsible for seeds that do not reach you! Request at your own risk! Books and GA-3 are OK to request for now.

How Long Will My Seeds Take to Arrive?
Most people are happy with the speed they receive their seeds. We take pride in our fast service, and work long hours during the busy season to get your seeds in the mail promptly. Figure up to three days turn-around time for us to get your e-mail, verify your payment and address, and process your request for shipment, and drop it off at the post office, PLUS up to another week (usually 2 - 3 days) or so for the Postal Service to deliver the package to you (longer outside the US). Sometimes there are January-April busy season backlogs. Current backlog status - none.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK WHERE YOUR SEEDS ARE UNTIL A FULL 30 DAYS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN MAILED. SOMETIMES THE MAILS ARE SLOW - THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS.

YOUR REQUEST WILL BE DELAYED IF YOU DO NOT GIVE YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS IN THE E-MAIL LISTING THE SEEDS.

Occasionally there have been long delays in the mails to and from Canada - up to 4 - 6 weeks in each direction. PLEASE DO NOT ASK WHERE YOUR SEEDS ARE UNTIL A FULL 30 DAYS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN MAILED. SOMETIMES THE MAILS ARE SLOW - THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS.

Sorry, we don't have a 24-hour Customer Service Staff! We are a public-access seed bank - not a giant consumer seed company. Also, the mail can take a week or more to deliver your seeds (longer to other countries).
